MIDI Setup - Pro ToolsUpdated 3 months ago
With some configuration, it is possible to use AmpHub and ToneHub's new MIDI learn functions in Pro Tools.
First, make sure that your MIDI controller is connected to your computer and recognized in Pro Tools.
Track Setup
Add a new Audio Track and insert your plugin onto the track, making sure that your instrument routing is correct.
Add a new MIDI Track. Set the output to the Plugin you inserted onto the audio track, and select channel 1. Set the input to "All" or to your specific controller. Record enable the MIDI track, and either Record Enable or Monitor Enable the audio track.
Using MIDI
With the routings set, you can use the MIDI learn functions in the plugin to control the parameters as in standalone mode. Simply right click on a parameter you wish to learn, and send a corresponding MIDI CC or PC message.
Once learned, the parameter in the plugin should respond to the assigned MIDI messages. You can edit your mappings in the MIDI Menu.
